From April 2018 to April 2019, FCR with funding from Mundo Cooperante implemented a project titled, “A Right to be a Girl”. The project was implemented in Mazamba Education Zone, T/A Kabunduli in Nkhata-Bay District where it targeted Chitheka Community Day Secondary School and eight primary schools feeding.

The project sought to empower girls with Advocacy skills, information on SRHR issues and Life kills, in order to enable them deal with different challenges that they face as they pursue their education.

In response girls were able to engage with the duty bearers to lobby for improved service delivery, accessibility and quality, the dropout rate for girls from school reduced considerably and their performance in classes improved.

Inclusive ECD Education Project funded by Save the Children and Norwegian Church Aid. The project was looking into discrimination of children with disabilities in attending ECD centers. The projects had the following achievements; supported the capacity budding of community structures in managing the ECD centers, supported children with disability mobilization campaign to go back to school, support income-generating activities for the sustainability of the projects.
